Printronix RFID Smart Label Specifications

Printronix qualifies each vendor’s RFID inlay using a rigorous test process to ensure that the Printronix SL5000r and SL4M printer/encoders produce the highest yield. Specifications for the Smart Labels define the optimal inlay location within the label, the minimum pitch between labels and the related placement tolerances. All specifications include EPCGlobal Class 1 Gen2 compliant silicon and inlays.

For convenience, the Smart Label specifications have been split into two sections:

  • Current Silicon/Inlays: This section includes specifications for the latest Alien Higgs3, Impinj Monza3 and NXP G2XL/XM silicon and inlays.
  • Legacy Silicon/Inlays: This section includes specifications for the older Alien Higgs2, Impinj Monza1/2 and NXP G2XL/XM silicon and inlays.

The menu selections shown in the tables below reflect the latest printer software. If you have older software in your printer, use the interim selection (shown in brackets) which are pre-tested alternatives.
