Minimum Advertised Price Policy (MAP) – Americas
Our new Path2Profit program includes a simplified minimum advertised price (MAP) policy which will go into effect on July 1st, 2012. Printronix has determined that our brand and communities will be served best through this policy. Printronix defines MAP as suggested retail price (SRP).
The MAP policy applies to all advertisements of specific Printronix and TallyGenicom printers in all promotional media, such as flyers, posters, news releases, coupons, mailers, inserts, newspapers, magazines, catalogs, mail order catalogs, Internet (including online advertisements and social media) or similar electronic media, television, radio and public signage.
We have published the current listing of products and applicable MAP prices on the Printronix Partner Portal, iConnect. Printronix products not identified are not subject to the MAP policy. At Printronix’s sole discretion, the products and MAP may change. Printronix resellers are responsible for remaining current with MAP policy, products and pricing. Any advertisement below the MAP established will oppose this policy. Each partner has 30 days from the effective date of this communication to ensure they are following the guidelines as outline in this communication.
This MAP policy covers all Printronix Path2Profit Partners resellers in the United States. Although resellers are free to establish their own resale prices, Printronix will pursue remedies against resellers that advertise applicable Printronix products at prices below those specified. These activities may include:
- Withholding of any rebates earned
- Loss of MDF funds
- Possible change in your discount level
Printronix will assess MAP policy compliance at our sole discretion. In addition, we will consider Partner adherence to the MAP policy when evaluating Partner’s annual application for Path2Profit Partner program membership.
Printronix reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the MAP policy in whole or in part, or designate promotional periods during which the terms of the policy change, or designate periods of time during which the policy is not applicable. We will make policy modifications available on the Printronix Partner Portal, iConnect.
